King Arthur was the ruler of Britannia during the 6th Century until he willingly relinquished his kingdom to his son, Prince Llacheu, and ventured into space aboard Camelot to found new colonies in the stars. This new kingdom was dubbed Space Britain and though there were several false starts he would successfully colonise the planet Algernon. He was head of the Knights of the Round Table and his wife was Queen Guinevere of Wales who usually led the kingdom from behind the scenes. Arthur also had a son with his own sister, Morganna le Fay, named Prince Mordred.

Description[]

Appearance[]

King Arthur has muddy blonde hair that is loosely pushed back and he has a short, thick beard to hide the wrinkles that come with being forty-years-old[Pan 1].

Space Armour[]

Arthur's space armour is white and gold and suitable for both battle and protects him from space[Leg 1].

Personality[]

Arthur is usually willing to allow his close friends and family to address him as 'Arthur' instead of other formal titles, though often public areas demand that those titles be used. Arthur is prone to outright blasphemy, much to the distress of his knights in particular. Arthur is only mildly embarrassed of his former incestuous relationship with his half-sister, Morganna le Fay, and affirms that he has moved on, even though she has not. Arthur has fairly low intelligence, often moving to absurd measures such as mistaking a frisbee design for a table. Because of this, few are likely to believe unusual claims made by Arthur without support from a more intelligent source[Pan 1]. He demands constant excitement and has a disdain for all things he considers boring and uneventful[Pan 2]. He is aware that he isn't the smartest man alive and will openly admit he hires smarter people around him to help strategise. He, like his friend Sir Lancelot, dislikes winning easily and always wants epicness in his battles. He is also very anti-sexist, even when women seem to be sexist towards themselves[Pan 3].

Interests[]

Cheese Farming[]

Arthur has a particular interest in farming cheese, for which he is keen to show off despite nobody else's apparent interest in the subject. He will often consider his cheese farming to be the most important thing in his life, more so than destiny or his kingdom[Pan 1].

Gemstones[]

Arthur has a keen interest in expensive, rare gemstones and is able to identify many of them by sight[Pan 3].

Disinterests[]

Sailing[]

Arthur dislikes sailing, partly because of the danger. He believes if God wanted men to sail then mermaids would be attractive on both halves and not just the upper[Pan 4].

Relationships[]

Lovers[]

Queen Guinevere[]

See also: Queen Guinevere

Guinevere is Arthur's wife and being far smarter than him, she often guides his actions[Pan 1]. Their marriage was originally a political one devised by Guinevere's father, King Leodegrance, who wanted peace with Arthur[Pan 5].

Family[]

Morganna le Fay[]

See also: Morganna le Fay

Morganna le Fay is Arthur's half-sister by the same father, Uther Pendragon, with whom he had an incestuous relationship that resulted in the birth of Prince Mordred. Arthur ended the relationship and no longer wishes to commit incest with Morgan, though she still desires it greatly[Pan 1].

Prince Mordred[]

See also: Prince Mordred

Mordred is Arthur's bastard son by his own sister, Morganna le Fay[Pan 1].

Sir Kay[]

See also: Sir Kay

Sir Kay was son to Duke Gorlois and Lady Igraine[Pan 6], making him the half-brother of King Arthur. Sir Kay resented being inferior to Arthur and often acts inappropriately towards the king. Arthur generally tolerates it and even allows Kay to call him Arthur instead of king on occasion[Pan 1]. Kay was eager to enter Arthur's service as a knight, believing himself entitled to it as Arthur's brother. He even acted as best man at Arthur's wedding to Guinevere[Pan 5].

Friendships[]

Sir Lancelot du Lac[]

See also: Sir Lancelot

King Arthur regards Sir Lancelot du Lac as his closest and most trusted friend, and knight. He trusts Lancelot to take on the most risky and important tasks[Pan 2]. They first became friends thanks to their shared liking for cheese[Pan 7].

Traits[]

Battle[]

Conquest[]

King Arthur is a capable commander and is capable of conquering entire kingdoms under his own rule[Pan 1].

Combat[]

Arthur is an excellent swordsman, capable of overcoming some of the strongest foes in the galaxy single-handedly. He utilises both strength, agility and battle-wits to gain the upper hand with ease[Leg 2].

Card Games[]

Much to the surprise of many, Arthur is an excellent player of cards[Pan 8].

Alcohol Susceptibility[]

Arthur gets incredibly drunk from just smelling alcohol, he doesn't even need to imbibe it[Pan 9].

Possessions[]

Weapons[]

Excalibur[]

Main article: Excalibur

Excalibur is the sword passed through the line of kings of Britannia and Space Britain. It is capable of blinding enemies when drawn from its sheath and cutting through powerful technology, such as liquid armour[Pan 3].

Clarent[]

Main article: Clarent

Clarent is the ceremonial knighting blade used by kings of Britannia to knight people into their service. It is also The Sword in the Stone, wherein only the true and rightful king of the land can pull it from the stone. It was used by Arthur in his wars for Britannia[Pan 5] until he obtained Excalibur(citation needed). Later it would be stolen and used by Prince Mordred[Pan 10].

Rhongomyniad[]

Rhongomyniad was King Arthur's spear, which he used during his campaign for Britannia. It is bright red with three strips of cloth, red, white and blue, dangling from just below the spearhead. The spear was created by Arthur's adoptive father, Ector, sometime after the boy became king of England. Merlin the Elder had taken the spear down into the secret domain of the druids beneath Stonehenge and the spear was blessed with magic[Pan 5].

Steeds[]

Llamrei[]

Llamrei is the name of King Arthur's tall horse. The horse is only weighted with the necessities and no additional armour to give it greater speed. She has a hood upon her head to focus her eyes forward and block out the chaos to her sides and she has a thick quilt upon her back to protect her skin from chaffing with the saddle. She is a very steady mare, happy, quiet and tame[Pan 3]. She was given to Arthur by King Leodegrance as part of Queen Guinevere's dowry[Pan 7].

History[]

Pre-Space Camelot[]

Early Life[]

Arthur is the illegitimate son of Lady Igraine and the claimant to the throne of Britannia - Uther Pendragon. Igraine gave birth to Arthur on the beach outside of Tintagel Castle in Dummonia to avoid being seen by her husband. Igraine gave birth to Kay with her true husband. Kay would later become a knight for his half-brother, Arthur. Likewise Morganna le Fay is Arthur's half-sister through their mutual father and the two grew up together. When young Arthur and Morgan entered an incestuous relationship, from which Morgan bore them a son they named Mordred[Pan 1].

When King Uther, the king of Britannia, died, Merlin the Elder gathered a meeting of the kings of the land to unveil to them the son of Uther - Arthur Pendragon. He had been raised by Sir Ector in secret to keep him safe. Along with Arthur was also his sister, Morganna le Fay, who was likewise raised by Ector. Clarent had been returned to the stone and Arthur had to pull the sword from the stone to prove himself the rightful heir of Uther. When Arthur succeeded in removing the sword, the kings slowly left to consider their options. King Urien was the last to leave and his advisor, Taliesin, remained behind to speak with Merlin. Taliesin questioned the wisdom of letting an ignorant boy become king but Merlin insisted that his time spent under the care of Ector would help him understand the people and become popular amongst them. Merlin also insisted that Arthur would win his own battles and that Merlin himself would be busy with his pupils - Lynne and now Morganna[Pan 11].

With his new knights and aid from the powerful kings, Arthur was able to subdue Hen Ogledd. He then turned his attention to Wales. In order to gain power in Wales, Arthur agreed to marry Guinevere, daughter to King Leodegrance of Powys. He began construction of his stronghold, and capital of his lands, in Viroconium Cornoviorum as Castle Camelot. But as the wedding is underway they come under attack from the other Welsh kings - King Rience and King Caradoc. They declare Leodegrance a traitor to Wales. The forces of Arthur had to use the incomplete Castle Camelot to defend Leodegrance, who was laid up sick within. King Rience charged into battle with Arthur and almost overcame the young king except for a golf ball fired by Sir Bedivere, which smacked the Welsh king in the head. The ball ricocheted off and struck Leodegrance, who was hanging out of the window to cheer on Arthur. The old king fell from his perch and perished. Rience blamed himself for a shameful killing of Leodegrance and surrendered. Now Arthur turned his thoughts to Ireland and to Scotland but when King Bors and King Hoel announced they must return to their own lands for war, Arthur decided to aid them first. They travelled to the kingdom of Vannes and forces were prepared to combat King Claudas of Berry. King Hoel would attack Berry from the north while the smaller forces of Bors and Arthur would come up from the rear. Arthur's group are met by Arthur's sister, Anna Pendragon and Arthur's newest knight, Sir Palamedes[Pan 5]. The group arrived at the Terre Deserte. Sir Bors revealed to King Arthur that his brother, Prince Lionel, and his cousin, Sir Lancelot, were being held in the Terre Deserte and that he must rescue them. The overenthusiasm of Sir Palamedes led him to ride off in earnest but he went the wrong way, forcing Sirs Kay and Bedivere to go after him and split the group. Sir Bors explained how the land had been laid waste by King Uther and the Knights Templar, pushing Anna to suspect there had been witches here once. She got into a theological argument with Bors and Arthur before three people appeared on the horizon, fleeing guardsmen. The group came under attack and Sir Bors could only save one of the people fleeing so he chose to rescue the damsel, Lady Clare Bertilak, rather than his own brother, Prince Lionel. Lionel was almost killed but the third escapee, Sir Lancelot, slew the guard attacking Lionel. Guinevere was instantly suspicious of Lady Bertilak due to her unusual advances on Sir Bors. She reported that she was held captive by King Claudas due to her beauty. She requests Sir Bors swear an oath to protect her and Sir Bors, unable to refuse such a request for his honour, agrees[Pan 12]. Sir Lancelot became Arthur's newest knight and was instantly declared his best friend by virtue of liking cheese. Bedivere, Kay and Palamedes rejoined the group and they continued toward the rear of King Claudas' army. While the others attacked the soldiers, Arthur charged through the ranks to reach Claudas himself. Rather than fight, King Claudas ran off after his knights surrendered. Unfortunately he ran straight towards Guinevere, who, on horseback, kicked him down and he was promptly captured. Sir Bors held the king at his mercy and his brother, Lionel, demanded the instant execution of Claudas but Bors didn't want to slay an unarmed, surrendered man[Pan 7].

Having won the battle, the army of King Bors set up camp. Arthur and Lancelot celebrate by drinking, though Arthur was drunk just by smelling the alcohol. King Bors agreed with Bors the Younger that they should spare the life of King Claudas for now and keep him captive. He goes to the pen where the king is being held to gloat. Arthur and Lancelot likewise go to gloat, in their drunken stupor, over the knights of Claudas. They began to harass the knights Sir Calogrevance and Sir Aggravain. Aggravain expressed his dissatisfaction with King Claudas as his former liege and when Arthur promised he was a valiant and honest king, both Aggravain and Calogrevance pledged themselves to his service. Suddenly there was a howl of pain and they discovered that King Bors was dead and Claudas was missing. Lady Bertilak revealed she saw him flee in disguise and the knights gave chase. Prince Lionel blamed his brother for ever showing Claudas mercy[Pan 9]. Bors, however, had died with a knife in the back and Claudas was not responsible. Claudas ran through the night and reached a woodland. Nyneve, able to travel much faster than any of the human knights, ventured after Claudas and found him scurrying through the woodland. She revealed she was just curious over her "pet's", Anna Pendragon, interest in him and she allowed him to pass her unmolested. However he soon stumbled into a trap set by Sir Bedivere and was captured. The three knights, Bedievere, Kay and Palamedes had been following him for some time and had repeatedly set traps to catch him that the king unwittingly avoided. Claudas is dragged to Cornouaille, the capital of Brittany, where he could be judged by King Hoel for his crimes. Lady Bertilak is taken with the genteel mannerisms of Sir Calogrevance as they made their way through the city. When they reached Quimper Castle they were met by King Hoel, who gave his young daughter, Isolde, to Anna Pendragon to care for. When Hoel realised that Claudas was alive, he suddenly drew a dagger and murdered him by slicing his jugular. His justification was that Claudas was a snake and not an honourable foe to be spared. When Lionel declared he wished to have done the deed, Hoel affirmed that Lionel's hands were clean and he could begin his rule of Vannes[Pan 13].

Some weeks later and Arthur's group must return to Britannia. He bade a fond farewell to his sister, Anna, asking to to stay safe. But when his group made rode some miles they were stopped by the mysterious woman that had been following his sister. She introduced herself as Nyneve and that she would be travelling with them, despite Arthur refusing to allow it. She intended to become the latest student of Merlin the Elder. Queen Guinevere recounts a legendary story of the Lady Nyneve of legend, who left her beloved and joined an evil Irish king for supernatural powers. Nyneve insisted that the legendary Nyneve left Britticus, the former lover of the story, for a better man and Guinevere was left in little doubt that the story revolved around the very Nyneve before them. Nyneve admired Guinevere's cunning and smarts. When they reached Stonehenge in England, Merlin welcomed his new apprentice merrily. He then bestowed a blade unto Arthur that had taken over a century to craft. Morganna le Fay and Lynne, Merlin's two existing students, started bickering and fighting with magic while Merlin ignored them. Merlin revealed that he had given the blade Potential but he, despite the powers of NeSorcerer, could not unlock that Potential so Arthur had to take it to the Lady of the Lake in Wales. They left Nyneve with Merlin and travelled to Wales. Guinevere was pleased to visit her homeland. The entourage halted at the base of Mount Snowdon while Arthur travelled upwards with just Lancelot and Bedivere. They came to Lake Glaslyn where they were met by Vivane, the Lady of the Lake. She turned out to be the Fairy God-Mother of Sir Lancelot, whom she found and raised as a baby. She bestowed the evil blade, Arondight, upon Lancelot but told him how she had blessed the hilt so that only one of tremendous honour could wield it. She then unlocked the powers of Excalibur and tasked them with bringing justice through the lands of Britannia[Pan 13].

Kingdom of Britannia[]

In order to wrest control of Britannia, King Arthur also had to defend the land against invading Germanic tribes of Saxons[Pan 5] and Angles[Pan 12]. By the year 501 AD, Arthur had conquered the British Isles, including England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Not only was his skill as a great ruler key to his success but also the aid of druids and the magic reservoir of Doughnutdelf, beneath Stonehenge, and their leader Merlin[Pan 14]. He had considered expanding his domain across Europe, into Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Gaul or even Rome, however he and Merlin discovered something more significant that gave way to new plans of expansion across the stars[Pan 1].

Raising Camelot[]

Eventually Arthur has his plan prepared and calls an informal meeting of his friends and family at Tintagel Castle. Unfortunately the meeting is instantly derailed when Merlin the Younger criticises Morgan for her incestuous relationship with Arthur and Sir Kay adds fuel to the fire. He informs everyone of the spaceship that he and Merlin the Elder found buried deep beneath Great Britain and that the size of the vessel is the same size of England itself. However Merlin the Elder believes that the only source of pure energy that can be utilised to raise the ship is the magical island of Morgan le Fay, called Avalon, and Arthur requests this great sacrifice of her. She attempts to blackmail him into sleeping with her again but he refuses but Merlin manages to goad her into agreeing. She consents only if she can go to space with her son, which Queen Guinevere instantly agrees to so that Mordred could get his own colonial kingdom - away from Llacheu's Britannia[Pan 1]. Camelot was raised from beneath Great Britain through the collective efforts of Morgan and The Lady of the Lake, Vivane. Vivane channelled powerful magics of Albion into Morgan, giving her the power to raise the ship[Pan 15]. With many citizens of Great Britain and Ireland onboard, Camelot ascends through the atmosphere and passes by the moon. Arthur goes to the Command Deck where he finds that Merlin and Tom a'Lincoln had figured out how to fast-travel between worlds and Arthur accidentally touches the screen and sends Camelot to Mercury. During travel the ship pinned everyone against the walls[Pan 16]. He finds that Mercury is nothing but a boring rock in space and so they jump to the next planet in the solar system, Venus. Unfortunately that turns out to be a boring rock too until the computers reveal that the planet harbours life. Arthur is convinced to send an away team down to the planet, led by Sir Lancelot. They discover the rockmen and one of these rock-like men, that the humans dub Andy, joins the Camelot Crew even though he cannot speak to anyone[Pan 17].

Camelot next arrived at the planet Mars where unusual tree-ships awaited them under the command of Chancellor Ctatherine of the Jupiterian Empire. Arthur kept trying to assert that he would conquer these people, despite the obvious fact they were far more powerful than him. He is appalled when they revealed they were a matriarchy but Guinevere smooths the conversation over. The Jupiterians accused the humans of being thieves that stole their ship. After defending their honour it turned out that the Jupiterians had discovered an identical ship to Camelot in orbit of Mars, which they called The Hopeful, and were investigating it. Admiral Ltexi of the Jupiterian fleet requested permission to temporarily join the Camelot Crew to study their ship[Pan 18].

Saturn[]

Admiral Ltexi introduced King Arthur to the Krypton people of the planet Saturn and a small retinue, including Prince Mordred, was sent down to greet the X-Kryptons in the X-Krypton City. The city was infiltrated, however, by raiders who Gamma Pans, one of the X-Krypton Custodians, identified as G-Kryptons - long allies to the X-Kryptons[Pan 10]. As this is seen as an act of betrayal, a great sin in the eyes of the Knights of the Round Table, Arthur agrees when Sir Lancelot requests that they join the X-Kryptons in their war against the G-Kryptons. Sir Bedivere agreed so long as there would be technology to study while Mordred believed they should remain neutral as the Jupiterians had[Pan 19].

Arthur's army arrived to find that the Kryptons had very small numbers in their militaries. He is disappointed that the battle would be so easy, especially given the Kryptons hadn't even considered city walls for defence. As he discussed the matter of battle with Gamma Pans, who was becoming unnerved by the warmongering of the humans, Sir Caelia approached to make enquiries of the Lightning Amulet of Gamma Pans. He revealed the story of how it fell from the sky to his ancestors and passed through the generations. When battle began, Arthur used Excalibur to blind the enemies while also noticing, to his chagrin, that his son, Prince Mordred, had stolen Clarent and was using it in battle[Pan 3]. The battle was easily won and Arthur went on a victory parade through the G-Krypton City streets until he came to the Custodian House and went inside with Sir Tristram and Sir Kay at his sides. The Custodian, Flannel Bags, did not understand English so Omega Wier and Gamma Pans had to translate. Some days later and the conquest was not all that Arthur had hoped as the G-Kryptons didn't understand the human desire for wealth or even walls on buildings. Arthur blamed Bedievere, even though it was Arthur's own fault they conquered the land. He wanted to pull out of the city and return to the stars but he was then delivered news from Omega Wier and Flannel Bags, who had learnt English by this time. They revealed that the humans had been tricked by Gamma Pans who knew the original raiders to be L-Kryptons but he wanted a war with the G-Kryptons so lied to Arthur. Arthur vowed vengeance and while the other knight pulled out of Saturn he hunted down Gamma Pans with Sirs Kay, Tristram, Caelia, Lancelot and Prince Mordred[Pan 20].

They chase down Gamma Pans to The Forsaken Valley, ruins of Saturn. Sir Tristram warned Arthur that the valley is known to be haunted by restless spirits of ancient Kryptons but Arthur declares it would therefore be a great addition to their adventurous tales. As they progress, with Sir Caelia scouting ahead, night descends upon them and their way is lit by the ancient structures. A feeling of dread swept over them before the dust-ghosts emerge and attack the group. The find that normal physical attacks don't work against the ghosts but their magical means, such as Excalibur, Arondight and Clarent, do. Mordred was consumed by fear caused by a dust-ghost until Caelia hit him with a rock to bring back his senses. Caelia's magic works the best against the ghosts, though even the beam-bow of Tristram was able to stun them temporarily. Arthur and Omega Wier ride ahead and leave the rest to deal with the ghosts before they retreat back to the mountain. Dust-ghosts chased them through the city but they made it to the other side where Arthur attacked Gamma Pans. The X-Krypton tried to use the Lightning Amulet to protect himself but Arthur overcame him. At the last moment Pans called Arthur a traitor for siding with Omega Wier but before he could ask what he meant, Wier had the Lightning Amulet for herself. Wier had tricked both Arthur and Pans and now had the amulet[Pan 21].

Wier created a cocoon of lightning magic that sucked in and destroyed the dust-ghosts around them. Arthur and Gamma run away, riding Llamrei. As they approached the other knights Arthur shouted at them to run. They retreat toward the mountain that led them into the valley and Sir Caelia, upon her dire wolf, reached the peak first. She used her own lightning magic against the storm of Wier but this only seems to make the magical storm even bigger. Static strikes the group when they also reach the peak until the storm suddenly dissipated. The magic had used up all of the aether in the area and left Omega Wier without fuel for his amulet. Arthur sent the knights back down after Wier while Gamma Pans admitted that a rumour told how his own ancestors stole the amulet from Wier's ancestors. He then requested to join Arthur's Space Britain aboard Camelot. At a Council of the Round Table meeting the knights all agree to travel to Uranus next while Gamma allowed his amulet to be studied by both Morganna le Fay and Merlin the Younger[Pan 22].

Uranus & Neptune[]

Main articles: 76 | 77 | 78 | 81 | See also: Uranus | Neptune

Admiral Ltexi then took the humans to the planet Uranus where they met the humanoid species, fayries, which all had equine heads. The planet was covered in aether, which was generated by a nexus, supposedly created by an ancient god from Earth. The fayries used machines to gather the aether and generate magical fuel to sell across the Milky Way Galaxy. They were greeted by Nerifian, who would then introduce them as foreign dignitaries to the Fayrie King[Pan 23]. After an introduction to the zebra-headed king, the Fayrie King took King Arthur, Sir Bedivere, Prince Mordred and The Black Knight to see Monde, the hivemind A.I. that governed the lives of the fayries to such an extent that they became complacent and lost their innovation[Pan 24]. Monde told the fayries when to eat, what to eat, when to sleep and even when and how to have fun. The Fayrie King told them the next planet on their trip was Neptune and it was connected to Uranus via the Dream Gate, which allowed the flow of aether between the twin planets. He told them there was a mysterious spacecraft relic there they might like to see. They find the Dream Gate but when the Fayrie King tells them they would cease to exist until they reached the other gate the group was filled with trepidation. The Black Knight volunteered to sacrifice herself and go first, which the Fayrie King found to be quite silly. When she came back unharmed they all went into the Dream Gate[Pan 25]. Neptune appeared the same as Uranus but when atop of an aether processor they could see a snowflake spaceship in the clouds[Pan 26]. The Fayrie King revealed that the ship was made entirely of magic and was actually a ship of ancient people from Earth who visited his own fayrie ancestors and taught them further secrets of magical technology. The Fayrie King then had to retire to bed at the request of Monde and Arthur's group left the planet aboard a spaceboat. Aboard the boat, Sir Robin Dagonet had been allowed to fly despite his constant ineptitude. He wound up firing himself out the ship on an ejector seat and Prince Mordred had to steer the ship to save him. He fell into the ship and broke his leg but Sir Galahad's limited skill in medicine might help. Once back on board Arthur discussed the snowflake ship with Tom a'Lincoln who reported that none of the magic users wanted to attempt venturing onto the ship for fear of either danger or disrespecting the ancient people that created it. When in the Command Deck Arthur planned to leave the Solar System, skipping the last planet Pluto. Not waiting for Admiral Ltexi to vacate the ship, he jumped with her still aboard[Pan 27].

Caledonia[]

When Sir Tom a'Lincoln set a new course, into the system of Camelot, out of the Solar System it automatically chose the planet Caledonia as its stop. This suggested to everyone that the original owners of the ship had always intended to visit the planet[Pan 4]. The humans created a settlement on the planet but some of the native drow refused their colonisation efforts and attacked the town where they captured Prince Mordred and took him to Llurth Caridwen[Pan 28]. Following this there was a meeting as Sir Kay related how he saw them fly away upon a floating brick towards the distant mountains and how they should rescue Prince Mordred. It was decided that two groups would be formed. One group would plan and prepare a direct rescue attempt upon the mountain, Llurth Ceridwen, while a second, smaller party would seek out a local drow village for assistance against the drow of the mountain. King Arthur joined the main force[Pan 4]. While Arthur and his troops provided the distraction, King Mark's smaller group not only allied with the mysterious Boreans but were able to get to Llurth Caridwen and rescue Prince Mordred. The Boreans revealed that Camelot was one of several sister ships that had once been used by the Boreans and the High Empire to travel to Earth but neither group were the originators of the spacecraft[Pan 29].

Outpost Finagle[]

Outpost Finagle (Pantheons of the NeSiverse)[]

Main articles: 139 | 140 | 157 | 158 | See also: Outpost Finagle

The Boreans gave the humans coordinates for a planet they believed suitable for colonisation. Sir Bedivere, who was responsible for the coordinates, was late reaching Camelot's Bridge and, instead, Admiral Ltexi input the coordinates and the ship jumped. However, Ltexi had actually transported the ship to Outpost Finagle instead of the colonisable planet. She explained that the station hops throughout the Multiverse and provides a wide array of entertainments for all. Instantly enamoured with the idea, King Arthur gave his crew permission to engage with the station. Prince Mordred was angered that Ltexi did this and demanded that she leave, which she asserted she planned to do. King Arthur found his way to the Three Men and a Squid Casino along with several others. Sir Tristram went for the slots where he quickly got into debt. King Arthur entered the Daily Tournament Sigma for the card table and staked Camelot itself as collateral, much to the horror of Mordred, Bedivere, Morgan and Merlin. Much to everyone's surprise, Arthur proved himself to be an excellent card player and won[Pan 8]. After some time of constant winning, the robot security decided to throw him out. As they were leaving, Sir Palamedes suddenly arrived on a quest from God to retrieve Morganna's underwear, which everyone conceded probably did contain evil magic. Morganna found her magic didn't work against Palamedes shining armour so, instead, she used telekinesis to throw the cartload of Arthur's earnings on top of the knight. When Arthur insisted this was God's will, Morgan buried Arthur under the winnings too[Pan 30]. While in the hotel he hired, King Arthur heard the story of The Old Republic and the threat of The Dread Masters from a bus boy. The Dread Masters were Æon Knights that had turned to the dark side and became Aos Sí. They also learnt that The Old Republic were humans that descended from Prince Oberon and the people he had left Earth with centuries ago. King Arthur wanted to conquer both the Republic and the Dread Masters. Queen Guinevere, however, convinced him it would be more honourable of a Christian king to save the Old Republic from the Dread Masters. Sir Gawain answered the door to welcome in Newrias, the drow that had become the squire of Sir Palamedes. He reported he had lost Sir Palamedes after he followed Morganna le Fay into the women's bathroom, which he did to retrieve her underwear believing they were stained with evil. Newrias had a request of the king - he wanted to open his own laboratory on Camelot to brew potions, which Arthur approved[Pan 31].

Outpost Finagle (Legends of the NeSiverse)[]

Main articles: 4 | 7 | 9

King Arthur was in his hotel room where Sir Gawain was drinking copious amounts of wine, judging himself free of parental oversight. When Gawain stumbled and fell flat on his face, Newrias was about to drag him back to his own room when there was a knock at the door. In back The Red Cross Knight who announced that Queen Guinevere had been kidnapped by King Caradoc. Then Sir Robin Dagonet also burst in and fell over The Red Cross Knight, onto Sir Gawain and tangled the three men up before Sir Robin could regain his feet. He was able to report that actually Guinevere was now rescued, but Lady Anglitora had died. Next to enter and make a report was Sir Bors, who gave word that Sir Tristram had almost died in battle but was saved by Sir Isolde but she, in turn, was now in critical care in the Medical Wing of Outpost Finagle. Sir Palamedes then came in and fell amongst the other men. He reported that Sir Kay and Sir Bedivere were being attacked by giants, but King Arthur dismissed this as normal behaviour for them. Finally Sir Caelia entered with news that Arthur's cheese farm had been sabotaged by Morganna le Fay, which he deemed to most grave news of all[Leg 3].

To take a break from their travels, Arthur and Guinevere devised a new sport - spaceship racing. Many of the knights had to adapt to the change of technology and replaced their steeds for ships. Sir Robin was giving commentary. Arthur and Kay briefly argued that neither of them were racing and were both in the spectators booth of Camelot. Initially, Sir Lancelot with his ship, Berić, was in the lead - though Sir Kay was certain Lancelot always expended himself too quickly and would fall behind. The racers went through an asteroid field. The Black Knight didn't take part in the race either, stating that she was possessed. This prompted some confusion about terms for the undead, which led to Sir Bedivere rattling off a list of undead through the communications. He became, obviously, distracted and crashed his ship. The ships then entered the atmosphere of the planet Tress to continue their lap. Lancelot, in the lead, raced along The River Split but his additional plasma finally ran out - yet he had a great lead ahead of the others. Sirs Bors, Aggravain and Gawain jostle for second place as they avoid the elephant-like creatures native to Tress along the river. Sir Kay's overly crude comments and insults almost get him bludgeoned by Lady Clare Bertilak and her delicate sensibilities. The course took the racers around the planet Trogdor. On the way back, still in the lead, Sir Lancelot suddenly crashed into the limping ship of Sir Bedivere and they both crashed. Ultimately Sir Gawain won, with Aggravain second and Sir Bors was third. Arthur then set Camelot on course for Coruscant, the capital world of The Old Republic[Leg 4].

Orinoco Flow[]

King Arthur's quest to rid The Old Republic of the oppressive Dread Empire, sometimes known as Sith Empire, began when Camelot reached the planet Orinoco Flow where the Dread Fortress would be exposed to attack for just a single month before it would, again, be consumed by the waves that continually traverse the planet. King Arthur had hired the services of a soothsayer, whom he constantly referred to as a witch, who was able to made predictions about the battle to aid the chances of victory and survival for the Knights of the Round Table. To this end the witch predicted the death of Sir Tristram should he enter the battle to soon, due to his emotional condition over his wife. Conversely the witch predicted The Black Knight would fare better at the front of the battle because of her rage over the loss of her mother. The witch did predict the possible death of Sir Robin Dagonet, much to Arthur's initial enthusiasm, however at ten percent survival, Arthur deemed that enough for the frustratingly lucky Robin to survive. As Arthur waited - along with the witch, Sir Tristram, Morganna le Fay and Prince Mordred - Queen Guinevere appeared with news from Terra Flux that the emperor of the Dread Empire himself would be on the planet and his death would free the galaxy of his tyranny for good. Sir Bors and Sir Gawain were amongst the first of the spaceboats to travel down and they were first to see the evil Dread Fortress stronghold[Leg 1]. In the battle, Sir Bors and Sir Calogrevance stood back-to-back to tackle the enemy tactically until Sir Aggravain barged his way over, covered in blood and gore. Calogrevance pointed out that one of the Dread Knights was flying in the air, at which point Sir Aggravain demanded someone throw him into the sky. Sir Caelia obliged by using her magic. The Dread Knight was taken completely by surprise and Aggravain severed his head, but then began to plunge back toward the ground. King Arthur was now inbound, aboard a spaceboat piloted by Sir Tristram, and Sir Aggravain managed to land upon the nose. They headed for the roof of the Dread Fortress, where they intended for Aggravain to hop off. They spied one of the Dread Masters commanded the battle and Arthur thought it would be funny to land on him - and they did. The soothsayer, however, knew they hadn't killed him and the shuttle is suddenly thrown from the roof. Tristram managed to regain control just metres from the ground, where Aggravain leapt off to rejoin the battle, and the shuttle headed back for the roof. There they deposited Morganna le Fay to fight the Dread Master alone while the shuttle moved away. Just within the entrance to the Dread Fortress was The Black Knight, The Faerie Knight and The Greene Knight battling a Dread Master. The Greene Knight was gravely wounded and rendered unconscious and profusely bleeding out as The Black Knight tried to defend him. The Faerie Knight managed to kill the Dread Master[Leg 5]. In the aftermath of the explosion, The Black Knight was trying to get her bearings while on the ground beside The Greene Knight. The Faerie Knight was battling the forces, still on his feet, wielding a magical construct hammer. He was suddenly sent flying through the air and rendered unconscious by a second Dread Master that now approached The Black Knight. Prester John insisted that she stop holding the wound of The Greene Knight to save herself. She would only get herself and him killed. She saw the wisdom and rose to defend herself. Suddenly, King Arthur's spaceboat arrived and, on the advice of the soothsayer, he used Excalibur to blind the enemies, including the Dread Master. Merlin the Younger went to tend to The Greene Knight while Sir Tristram went to The Faerie Knight. Arthur and his son, Mordred, came either side of The Black Knight to fight the Dread Master together. Father and son tackled the Dread Master and Arthur's sword absorbed some of the energy given off by the Dread Master's evil soul. He then demonstrated his martial prowess that outstripped even this Dread Master. The Dread Master's aura stalled the king, however, but The Black Knight and Mordred stepped in. Anglia, however, was wounded when the ruhand sliced off her arm. But this left the Dread Master open to the needle-point attack from Clarent in the hands of Mordred and the Aos Sí was killed. The Dread Master then exploded and Mordred was caught by the blast, which burnt his face[Leg 2]. At this point there was a lull in the battle, allowing the Space British army to recoup. Those injured were retired to Camelot for treatment. Morganna went with Mordred to take care of him. In the meanwhile, Arthur led the final push against the Dread Empire personally, into the depths of the Dread Fortress. He, and his group, were led by the soothsayer through the fortress. At one point he demanded that Arthur swing in his sword without explanation and upon doing so, Arthur suddenly decapitated a Dread Master that appeared. When Arthur proclaimed it was lucky, the soothsayer corrected that it was Fate, according to his calculations. As they progressed, Sir Lancelot was frustrated with Sir Caelia's lack of belief in Christianity but Arthur dubbed her a nice heathen. Sir Kay was troubled that Caelia could be considered 'nice' but she insisted she was, despite giving Sir Palamedes the quest to retrieve Morganna's underwear, as in Pan Post 158. Caelia assured everyone this made Palamedes happy, thus she is nice, and that she wanted the dark magic within Morgan's underwear. This prompted Sir Galahad to ask if they shouldn't all go on this mighty quest for underwear, which amused Caelia no end. The conversation about underwear continued, much to the annoyance of Sirs Tristram and Aggravain who tried to steer into the deadly quest they were on as they ventured towards the Dread Emperor himself. Before the Dread Emperor could battle them, however, he suddenly appeared to curl over and die. The soothsayer, likewise, appeared to be dead as he had slit his own throat. A moment later and the Sith Emperor spoke, alive and well, and proclaimed his name to be Kapil Anniruddha. He revealed that he was actually the soothsayer and that he had now claimed the body of the emperor for himself, exposing that his aiding the knights was an elaborate ruse to get himself this new body. He took out a glass orb from his old body and pocketed it into his new clothes. He revealed that he had no plans to continue the Dread Empire, or menace the Old Republic, but rather use his newfound resources to open a donkey sanctuary. Inspired by the heroes, he wants to open it on Earth and Arthur asked Kapil to visit his son, Llacheu, and give him some tips for the future. Kapil accidentally let slip that the Saxons would be invading England, but quickly brushed it aside and proclaimed that the knights had completed their quest and could go on and celebrate[Leg 6]. After their victory, Arthur was invited to attended a celebration held by the Old Republic at the Galaxies Opera House on Coruscant. Sir Kay and Sir Lancelot were keen on exploring the lower depths of the planet's entertainment district, the Uscru District, but Arthur insisted they had to attend the opera with him and Queen Guinevere. They had to go through DNA scanners for the security checks, which even confirmed that Sir Kay was the half-brother to Arthur. When Galahad went through it confirmed Lancelot as his father but, surprisingly, it claimed that Guinevere was actually his mother. Only Galahad was privy to this and kept this newfound, wonderous knowledge to himself[Leg 7].

Britt's Commentary[]

"King Arthur is based on the legendary King Arthur[Ext 1] from the Matter of Britain[Ext 2]. He is quite unlike the original incarnation in most respects and, instead, he resembles the Main Character trope of NeS in that he's a charismatic idiot." ~ Britt the Writer.
